Auto repair in Lincoln, RI

Albion is a village in Lincoln. If you live in Lincoln and you have been driving to Woonsocket or farther for work that should be a local ticket, the shop is already in your town.

2.4 miles · About eight minutes from Lincoln center

How to get here

From Lincoln center and the Great Road / Old River Road side of town, come south toward Albion on the local roads — not a trek down to Providence. From the Route 146 corridor (Twin River, the mall, the commute toward Providence), take the Albion / Main Street exit and follow Main Street into the village. You will cross into the mill streetscape; 117 is the former Landry’s. From Lime Rock or Quinnville, stay on the Lincoln roads toward Albion rather than bouncing out to 295. From Saylesville, it is a short run up toward the river village. Count on about eight minutes from Lincoln town center in light traffic, a little more at school let-out.

What Lincoln drivers bring in

Lincoln cars live on 146, Great Road, and the school run. That means alignments after a winter of frost heaves, brakes that were “fine until the hill,” and inspection stickers on family cars that only get driven to grocery and soccer. People also bring work they were quoted as a dealer menu — cabin filters, flushes, and “while we are here” items — and ask us to say which of those is actually due. We will. Rust around the Blackstone valley shows up on older trucks and on anything that sat. If you bought a used car in town and do not know what is due, bring the last sticker or the book.

Search “auto repair Lincoln RI” and you get a pile of pages that could be anywhere. This one is specific: Battersby’s is at 117 Main Street in the village of Albion, which is inside the Town of Lincoln. You did not leave town. You drove toward the river. The old name was Landry’s Auto Services. The reviews you remember from that listing are the same profile Google should keep when the name on the door changes. Do not make a new listing. Come to the same bay.

Lincoln is large enough that “local” still has to mean a real drive time. From the 146 corridor you are not going to Attleboro. You are not sitting in a dealer waiting room in Warwick. You are eight minutes from a shop that will tell you if the pad is a this-week job or a this-month job. That matters when you still have to get back over to Twin River or down toward Providence after. Hours are 8 to 4, Monday through Friday. Call (401) 333-1536 if you need to know whether we can look at it today.

Rhode Island inspection is the errand Lincoln households put off until the month on the sticker is the month on the calendar. We do the $55 two-year sticker (rising to $75 on January 1, 2027). If the car fails, the free 30-day retest is only here. That is not a threat. It is why you should not “try a place in Pawtucket this time.” Start here, finish here. The public sticker checker on this site reads the month and year off the glass and tells you the last legal day. Use it before you gamble on a weekend trip.

Jen’s quote on the reviews page is the Lincoln version of the pitch, and it is not marketing copy we invented for a town page: look, tell me what can wait, do only what I approved. That is the job for a town this close. Bring the car. We will write the list. You will decide. If you want it in writing before you drive over, use the request form with the year, make, and model and the noise it makes. We will call during business hours.

“Called about a grinding brake. They looked, told me what could wait, and did only what I approved.”
